The Story
Inertia is a disorienting psychological drama that plunges into the mind of Oliver — a haunted man desperately trying to outrun visions of his past.
After discovering the identity of his father, Oliver is forced to confront not only the harsh reality of where he comes from, but the terrifying trajectory of where he could be heading. The film grapples with the lifelong devastation of childhood abandonment, tracing the fractures it leaves across a life — until Oliver comes to realize he is capable of being the master of his own destiny, rather than carrying the generational curse into the future.

Behind the Lens
Jackson Kibby is a filmmaker driven by the tension between memory and reality. Inertia marks his feature debut — a psychological portrait assembled with unflinching precision and a restless visual sensibility. Drawing on a background in documentary and short-form narrative, Kibby constructs a world where every frame carries the weight of things unsaid.
His work explores the quiet violence of grief, obsession, and the stories we tell ourselves to survive. Inertia is the culmination of that vision.
